Trends for 11/16/11

1.  Aaron Rodgers is stated by Jim Kelly to be playing better than any quarterback in NFL history.  Regardless if you are a packer fan, it is hard to disagree with that statement.   The difficulty of his passes that he continues to make with ease are incredible.  Currently they are considering him the best player in the league.  His stats are incredible and he is surpressing many other quarterbacks who have been in the league for quite some time.  Payton Manning and Tom Brady have nothing on the Wisconsin Stud.  The big question is, can he lead his team to another Super Bowl?

2. And the Lookout continues.  Bye Bye 2011 and 2012 NBA season.  The players couldn't come to agreements with the owners and as a result there won't be any NBA.  The players are just that greedy to give up their season.  Guess Kobe won't be getting another ring this year.  GO college basketball!

3.  No more Kardashians!  A petition has been made to remove the Kardashians from E! network.  Many people are appauled by the sanctity of marriage or the supposed wedding hoax.  Cydney Snider was the creator of the petition and currently there are thousands of signatures.  It's true though, these shows are already staged enough, the wedding took it to a whole new level.  How these people even became famous is beyond me but maybe this petition will officialy get this family out of the public.

4. There is much hype about Breaking Dawn.  Fans have already pre-ordered their tickets weeks ago, getting ready for the midnight showing on November 18th.  Fans will stand outside for hours waiting to be let in.  How devoted are they?  It is crazy how far fans will go, I gaurantee the movie will still be playing the next day, a week from opening day, and a month from then.  Fans need to relax a little! Edward is good looking, but not THAT good looking.

Trends for 11/7/11

Mariah Yeater

Justin Bieber at Awards Show1.  Baby, baby, baby ohhhhhh!  Justin Bieber is most likely playing this song in his head over and over.  There are reported claims that the young music star is expecting a baby with Mariah Yeater.  A little background on Yeater is she is currently in court in Las Vegas being charged with a misdemeanor battery charge, what a winner!  Dont worry though, the Biebs is planning to fight back witha  paterenity test and a lawsuit.  I didn't even know that the Biebs is old enough for what he is being accused of, poor kid!  Hopefully his girlfriend, Salena Gomez is sticking with him through this, at least until they get the results...

Miss Venezuela, Ivian Sarcos, waves after winning Miss World 20112.  And the winner of this year's Miss World goes too...Miss Venezuela, Ivian Sarcos!   I wonder what it would feel to be crowned the most beautiful girl in the world, that is quite the honor, if you ask me.  The runner up was Miss Philippines,  Gwendoline Ruais and Miss Puerto Rico, Amanda Perez came in third, which is basically saying you two were great BUT, Miss Venezuela was just better.  The beautiful pageant however wasn't beautiful in all aspects, there were about 50 feminists who rallied outside, waving placards reading, " Objectification won't achieve world peace," and, "Being a woman is not a competition," some even read, "Sexism is pretty ugly."  Well no matter what people complain about, this pageant has been around for years and I don't see it going away anytime soon.  Good luck Miss Venezuela, let's try and keep a clean record for once please.

3. The US Wealth Gap between young and old Americans has hit an all time high.  Currently, people the age of 65 have a a net worth 47 times greater than a household of someone around the age of 35.  This is due to our economic difficulties right now and college debt.  Instead of making more money as Americans get older, they are just adding more debt.  Does it make sense that we are giving elders so much money for their retirements, when it looks as if younger Americans will never get to retire.  Young Americans won't get the chance to retire because they will spend their life trying to pay off debt from the previous years.

4. AND the court rules guilty for Dr. Conrad Murray, also known as Micheal Jackson's personal physician.  The twelve jurors ruled guilty for the charge of manslaughter.  They all agreed that he was the reason for Jackson's death by giving him a deadly dose of  the powerful sedative, Propofol.  Yes he may be guilty for actually giving Jackson the sedative used for big surgical operations but, Micheal Jackson wanted to take large doses of sedatives.  He liked being able to be in a controlled coma, so is it really fair that this man is being sent to jail?
